A new year means new beginnings! Orchid and Bridge Specialty Personal Lines are excited to announce the transition of Orchid's Admitted HNW team to Halcyon Underwriters as of January 1st, 2024. You will continue to operate with the existing Orchid HNW team but will start to see a shift to the Halcyon name on policy documents and correspondence. Please read on for more information:

Important Quick Facts
  • Orchid’s E&S HNW business will not be impacted - only Admitted HNW policies written directly through the HNW team are impacted. Your portal credentials remain the same to access Orchid's E&S markets.

  • Continue to use your existing Orchid HNW account managers/contacts, portal logins, and HNW applications.

  • Look out for timely updates. As the transition progresses, you will receive updates regarding upcoming changes to processes, contact info, and business flows.

  • The combined business from Orchid’s Admitted HNW and Halcyon’s Personal Lines will provide you and your customers access to additional markets.

  • Agencies already appointed to Orchid’s Admitted HNW will not be required to go through a new appointment process with Halcyon to submit new risks or service existing admitted HNW policies.

  • It’s business as usual. Continue to submit risks through the normal channels until further notice.

Service Operations Payment Update

On February 14th, 2024, Orchid's Service Operations Department will no longer be able to take credit card payments over the phone. Our team will still be available to help guide you through the payment process, and provide assistance troubleshooting issues. However, prior to contacting Orchid for payment assistance, please review that the policy number and invoice number are being input correctly in the system.

Updating Your E&O

Keep your agency's Errors & Omissions information updated in Orchid's Agent Servicing Portal by following these three quick steps!

Prior to all expiration terms, each agency is required to provide Orchid with a certificate of insurance, according to 4b of the Producer Agreement. We want to make sure all agents have access to their new business capabilities, so mark your calendars on when your agency needs to update its E&O information and check one less thing off your to do list!
